I live in Sydney and I am a lover of fashion and animals.
I decided to start this blog because of my love /obsession of animals and fashion. Like any girl, I have a lust for good designer fashion but I am also that girl that begins talking to ANY animal she sees like they're my best friend (insane I know..)
A few years ago I became vegetarian after seeing a video of how animals in the meat industry get treated. I vowed never to eat meat again. I then saw some videos of the leather and fur industries and being an animal lover, a true true animal lover, I just could not justify the torture and slaughter of animals for the sake of fashion.
Luckily, with lots (and lots) of research, I have been able to find amazing vegan fashion items which means I can still indulge in my love for designer fashion, but with a clear conscience.
Why the name huntd? ----
Well hunted was the name of my first business which was an online jewellery store and apart from the sentimentality of the name (adding a twist by removing the e), I saw the irony in the name huntd for a blog that is against the hunting of animals. I see myself as hunting (gotta love puns) out some great vegan fashion finds instead of buying fashion that has resulted in a poor animal losing its life.
So there you have it. Follow me for vegan fashion finds and see that there really is no need to harm beautiful souls just for the sake of some shoes or bags. If I can just change one person's mind in relation to buying leather, wool or fur then my job is done.
